Grendon Hall is a historic Northamptonshire estate with a new lease of life.
Dating back to the 16th century, the Hall is now home to Marlow’s, a welcoming coffee bar, our oak-panelled wine bar Hatton’s, Reformer Pilates, Treatment Rooms and a growing programme of events, dining and experiences.
By day, join us for coffee, catch up with friends or book a Reformer Pilates class. By evening, settle in at Hatton’s for our regularly changing selection of beers, wines and spirits served in one of the Hall’s most characterful rooms beside the open fire.
Grendon Hall is a beautiful setting for weddings, celebrations, meetings and private events. From intimate dinners and drinks receptions to larger parties and weddings, the Hall’s historic rooms and grounds offer plenty of possibilities for making the space your own.
Guests can stay overnight within the Hall, be it for a night or weekend we have capacity for up to 30 overnight guests.

Grendon Hall has stood at the heart of the Northamptonshire village of Grendon for centuries, with parts of the house dating back to the 16th century.
Today, its oak-panelled rooms, open fires and historic character provide a beautiful setting for coffee, wine, dining, weddings and private events. Lovingly brought back to life, the Hall combines the warmth of a traditional country house with everything needed for modern hospitality and celebrations.
Our Heritage
Through the Centuries
Grade II* listed Grendon Hall is one of Northamptonshire’s historic country houses, dating to the 16th century. Enlarged during the 17th century, the distinctive seven-bay façade and elegant proportions reflect centuries of history, architecture and changing country life.
Craftsmanship & Character
Inside, Grendon Hall retains much of its historic character, including 17th-century panelling, early 18th-century interiors and a striking staircase with barley-twist balustrades. These original details bring warmth and character to rooms that have hosted generations of gatherings, celebrations and everyday life.
Shaped by History
Grendon Hall has played its part in wider history. During the Second World War it was used for military purposes, before beginning a new chapter as the County Youth Centre. Following its refurbishment, it was officially opened by Princess Elizabeth, the future Queen Elizabeth II, on 29 July 1946.
The surrounding landscape has an even older story, with traces of medieval settlement connecting the Hall to centuries of life in Grendon.
A Living Legacy
Over the centuries, Grendon Hall has been a family home, a place of public service and a centre for the community. Today, that tradition of bringing people together continues through weddings, celebrations, events, coffee, wine and everyday gatherings.
